This is only my second phlebotomy, and I’m doing them every other week. My ferritin was 960 when I started, and my doctor wants me under 100.
I had a phlebotomy yesterday, and today I feel like I got hit by a truck. 😩 I drank a ton of water before and after, but I still feel completely drained. My arms feel weak, I have a headache, and I just want to sleep all day.
How long does it usually take you to feel normal again after a phlebotomy? Do you do anything specific to recover faster? Also—how long do you think it will take before my ferritin gets under 100? I feel like I have a long road ahead.”*
