AnonymousGuestI swear, ever since my ferritin started coming down, I’ve been thirsty all the time! Is this just me, or is this an HH thing?

AnonymousGuestI thought once my ferritin got lower, I’d feel amazing, but nope—I feel worse! Is this normal?! How long did it take to actually feel better?

AnonymousGuest Looking back, I had symptoms for YEARS before anyone figured out I had HH. How long did it take YOU to get diagnosed? What was your worst misdiagnosis?

AnonymousGuestMy doctor kept saying it was just ‘stress and anxiety’ and told me to meditate. Meanwhile, my ferritin was over 900!

AnonymousGuestI’ve been reading about fasting (24-48 hours) and its effect on iron overload. Has anyone tried it?

AnonymousGuestYou should wait a minimum of 2 weeks. 1st after a phlebotomy your body dumps stored iron from your organs, and 2nd it takes 2 weeks to build up your red blood cells. Hopefully it actually went down. They just did not give it time. I had to find that out myself as well.
